GLONASS vs. GPS: RT reports from launch pad as satellites blast off

Russia’s global navigation system – GLONASS – has moved a step closer to reality. A rocket carrying three satellites has been successfully launched into orbit. The plan is for the rival to America’s GPS to start operating by the end of the year. RT’s Egor Piskunov reports from Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.

  4. India is also a partner and like US GPS system can be encrypted to prevent enemy access.But with development of new anti-satellite missile the first things to be knocked off will be these satellite if there is a war between major powers.Israel & U.S.War with Iran will likely the beginning.
